Exhibition, Trade Fair and Event – Reverse Buyer–Seller Meet (RBSM)
The Reverse Buyer–Seller Meet (RBSM) is a market-access-focused intervention under the RAMP Programme, aimed at providing national and international exposure to MSMEs in Goa. Recognizing that MSMEs often face challenges in identifying suitable markets and meeting global quality and safety standards, RBSM creates a structured platform where international buyers (importers) interact directly with MSME sellers (exporters) from Goa. Implemented by the Department of Industries, Trade and Commerce, the intervention seeks to promote the “Made in Goa” brand globally and strengthen Goa’s position as an emerging export-oriented state.
Objectives
01
Expand market access for MSMEs through direct engagement with national and international buyers
02
Strengthen export readiness and capacity of MSMEs
03
Increase participation in global value chains and boost exports from Goa
04
Facilitate one-to-one buyer interactions, product showcasing, and business matchmaking
05
Build sustainable trade linkages for long-term growth
06
Promote Goa’s products and services in global markets
How it Works
Under this intervention, Reverse Buyer–Seller Meets are organized as part of major exhibitions, trade fairs, and business events. International buyers are invited to share their sourcing requirements, while MSME exporters from Goa showcase their products and services. Structured B2B matchmaking sessions enable one-to-one interactions, business discussions, and networking opportunities. One such RBSM was organized during the Amazing Goa Global Expo & Summit 2024 , in collaboration with the Vibrant Goa Foundation , where MSMEs from sectors such as hospitality and tourism, food processing, construction, shipping and logistics, and IT and automation participated. The intervention is designed as a recurring initiative, with future RBSMs planned to further strengthen export linkages.

Direct interaction with international and domestic buyers
Increased exposure to global market requirements and standards
Opportunities to secure export orders and long-term business tie-ups
Enhanced visibility of “Made in Goa” products and services
Improved understanding of buyer expectations, pricing, and quality norms
Strengthened export capabilities of MSMEs
Impact
The Reverse Buyer–Seller Meet has played a significant role in improving international market access for MSMEs in Goa. The RBSM organized (8th to 10th Nov 2024) at the Amazing Goa Global Expo & Summit 2024 witnessed participation from over 100 international buyers from more than 30 countries and 100 MSME exporters from key sectors. As a result, three MSMEs secured international orders worth approximately INR 3.00 crore, with additional 15 enterprises engaged in advanced trade discussions. The intervention has strengthened Goa’s export ecosystem, enhanced MSME confidence in global markets, and contributed to increased exports, employment generation, and economic growth under the RAMP Programme.
