Inspectorate Of Factories Boilers
The Inspectorate of Factories & Boilers was established in 1983 after the bifurcation of factory and boiler inspection functions from the Office of the Commissioner, Labour and Employment. Its mandate also includes overseeing the Industrial Safety Training Centre and the Industrial Hygiene Laboratory to promote workplace safety, health, and compliance in industrial establishments. The Inspectorate is headed by the Chief Inspector of Factories & Boilers, who serves as Ex-Officio Joint Secretary to the Government, ensuring workplace safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory oversight in Goa.
