Self Employment Scheme
Self-Employment Scheme" is a Loan Scheme by the Goa State Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation Limited, Department of Tribal Welfare, Government of Goa. Under this scheme, the financial support will be advanced up to a maximum ₹ 10,00,000 to any individual person belonging to Scheduled Tribes Community to undertake any self-employment activities that will be approved by the Corporation from time to time. The Loan /Financial assistance will also be made available to the extent of ₹ 15,00,000 to the Association / Societies / Partnership / Self-help groups (SHG) / Companies formed exclusively by the members of the Schedule Tribes Community.
Benefits

Loan amount: Up to ₹10 lakh for individuals; up to ₹15 lakh for ST groups/companies.

Margin money: 10% of project cost (may be relaxed for individuals only).

Interest: 4% p.a. on reducing balance; 2% penal interest on defaults.

Repayment: Up to 10 years, as तय by Board based on activity.

Security: Two guarantors (one govt. servant) + mortgage of business.

Insurance: Mandatory life and business insurance; compensation adjusted against loan.
Eligibility

Applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribes community.

Applicant must be unemployed.

Age must be 55 years or below (relaxable in deserving cases).

Family income must not exceed ₹3 lakh per year (relaxable on merit).

Family includes spouse, unmarried children, and dependent parents/siblings below 18.

How to Apply?
Log in to the UDP Goa website.
Select Self Employment Scheme from the list of offline schemes.
Click on the Application Form button to download.
Enter your mobile number, email ID and district to show your interest.
Fill out the form and attach the required documents.
Submit the completed form to the concerned department.
