The Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) aims to organize traditional artisans and industries into structured clusters to enhance production, improve value addition, and strengthen market competitiveness. By modernizing traditional sectors and improving market linkages, the scheme provides sustainable employment opportunities and helps artisans increase their income through upgraded skills, better infrastructure, and improved access to raw materials and markets.

Benefits

  • award-check Regular clusters (≤500 artisans): GoI grant up to ₹2.5 crore (95% NER/hilly, 90% others).

  • award-check Major clusters (>500 artisans): GoI grant up to ₹5 crore.

  • award-check Funding: Soft interventions 100% GoI; hard interventions 90–95% GoI.

  • award-check Technical assistance fee: 40% on approval, 30% on functionalization, 30% on handover.

  • award-check Implementing agency cost: 50% on approval, 50% after two-thirds fund use.

  • award-check Grant release: 50% on approval; 50% after two-thirds utilization + UC.

Eligibility

  • Coverage & Clusters: Supports Khadi, Village & Coir industries; min. 50 artisans per cluster; Regular (≤500) and Major (>500).

  • Grants: Up to ₹2.5 cr for Regular clusters and ₹5 cr for Major clusters.

  • Focus Groups: SC/ST, women, disadvantaged communities; priority to aspirational districts, endangered crafts, hilly & NE regions.

  • Implementing Structure: NGOs, govt bodies, PRIs, collectives; mandatory SPV with 2/3 artisan governance; private equity capped at 50%.

  • Funding Pattern: GoI grant covers 90–95%; balance by IA/SPV; land to be arranged by IA (min. 15-year lease).

  • Support & Approvals: Technical Agency prepares DPR and guides training/marketing; approval via PSC → SSC.

  • Timeline & Objectives: 12–18 months completion; aims to boost artisan income, competitiveness, market access, and green production.

How to Apply?

Eligible agencies or organizations may submit the proposal online. The applicant agency or organization needs to visit the SFURTI Portal and register or sign up by entering their correct details.

The applicant or organization then needs to log in using their ID on the SFURTI Portal and fill out the application form completely.

Upload all the relevant documents, verify the details, and submit the application form.
