Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah - Yojana (PM - MKSSY)
The scheme "Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojana (PM-MKSSY)" is a Central Sector Sub-scheme under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY). The scheme is managed by the Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India. The scheme aims to formalise the fisheries sector and facilitate access to institutional finance for fisheries-based microenterprises. The scheme provides small grants to formalised fisheries microenterprises and support through credit intermediaries. To be eligible, the applicant must be registered on the National Fisheries Digital Platform (NFDP) and belong to an eligible fisheries microenterprise category. The scheme is implemented by the Department of Fisheries through the National Fisheries Digital Platform. The applications for this scheme are accepted online.
Benefits

Aquaculture Insurance Incentive: 40% of premium; max ₹25,000/ha, ₹1 lakh per farmer, farm size 4 ha; intensive systems up to ₹1 lakh for 1,800 sq. m units; extra 10% for SC/ST/Women.

Performance Grants – Fisheries Micro Enterprises: General 25% or ₹35 lakh; SC/ST/Women 35% or ₹45 lakh; VLOs/SHGs/FFPOs/Cooperatives 35% or ₹200 lakh.

Performance Grants – Quality & Safety: Micro (General 25% or ₹35 lakh; SC/ST/Women 35% or ₹45 lakh), Small (General 25% or ₹75 lakh; SC/ST/Women 35% or ₹100 lakh), VLOs/SHGs/FFPOs/Cooperatives 35% or ₹200 lakh.

Employment - Linked Incentive: ₹15,000/year per woman employee and ₹10,000/year per man employee, capped at 50% of total eligible grant.
Eligibility

Fishers, fish farmers, fish workers, fish vendors, and processors.

Fisheries Micro and Small Enterprises registered in India.

Entities including proprietary firms, partnerships, companies, societies, LLPs, cooperatives, SHGs, FFPOs, and start-ups in the fisheries & aquaculture value chain.

Any other beneficiaries notified by the Department of Fisheries, Government of India.
