PM Vishwakarma - Enabling Artisans & Craftspeople to scale-up their Enterprises
PM Vishwakarma Scheme is a Central Sector Scheme of the Government of India aimed at providing end‑to‑end support to traditional artisans and craftspeople. The scheme focuses on formal recognition, skill upgradation, access to modern tools, and collateral‑free credit. It seeks to enable artisans to scale up their enterprises, improve product quality, and integrate with domestic and global value chains.
Benefits

Recognition: Artisans receive PM Vishwakarma Certificate and ID Card for formal recognition.

Skill Upgradation: Basic (5–7 days) and Advanced (15+ days) training with ₹500/day stipend and ₹1,000 transport allowance.

Toolkit Incentive: E‑voucher up to ₹15,000 for purchase of modern tools.

Credit Support: Collateral‑free loans up to ₹3 lakh at 5% interest with Government interest subvention.

Digital Incentive: ₹1 per digital transaction, up to 100 transactions per month.

Marketing Support: Assistance for branding, quality certification, e‑commerce (GeM) onboarding, and market linkages.

The Scheme covers artisans and craftspeople engaged in 18 trades.viz

(i) Carpenter (Suthar/Badhai); (ii) Boat Maker; (iii) Armourer; (iv) Metalsmith/Metal Caster (Lohar); (v) Hammer and Tool Kit Maker; (vi) Locksmith; (vii) Goldsmith (Sonar); (viii) Potter (Kumhaar); (ix) Sculptor (Moortikar, stone carver), Stone breaker; (x) Cobbler (Charmakar)/ Shoesmith/Footwear artisan; (xi) Mason (Rajmistri); (xii) Basket/ Mat/Broom Maker/Coir Weaver; (xiii) Doll & Toy Maker (Traditional); (xiv) Barber (Naai); (xv) Garland maker (Malakaar); (xvi) Washerman (Dhobi); (xvii) Tailor (Darzi); and (xviii) Fishing Net Maker.

Proof of Occupation / Trade
Self‑declaration or local verification that the applicant is engaged in an approved traditional trade

How to Apply?
Visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) with Aadhaar and required documents.
Complete online registration and application for the scheme with CSC assistance.
Submit the application and track status using the acknowledgement/reference number.
