Lease Rental Rebate Scheme for Goan Diaspora (Goa IT Policy Schemes)

"Lease Rental Rebate Scheme for Goan Diaspora" is one of the "Information Technology Policy Schemes" by the Department of Information Technology, Government of Goa. The objective and the scope of this scheme is to provide Lease Rental Rebate for Goan Diaspora. A 100% reimbursement of the lease rentals will be provided for a period of first 6 months of operations. The scheme has been framed as a part of Goa's IT Policy that envisages Goa as an aspirational geographical and human resource base for IT Units and a preferred destination for their investment and expansion.

Benefits

  • award-check 100% lease rental reimbursement for the first 6 months.

  • award-check After 6 months: ₹35 per sq. ft. or 80% of lease rental (whichever is lower).

  • award-check Benefit available for up to 2 years.

  • award-check Incentive based on % of Goan employees: 50% (up to 30%), 75% (30–60%), 100% (above 60%).

  • award-check Employees must be on company rolls for at least 1 year.

Eligibility

  • Only expenses during the policy period are eligible.

  • Units are evaluated annually for continued eligibility.

  • Units receiving similar incentives under other Goa Government policies are not eligible.

  • Scheme provisions are not binding assurances from the Government.

  • Units must operate in Goa (new or existing).

  • Eligible entities: Proprietorship, Private Ltd., Public Ltd., Partnership, or LLP.

  • Company must be registered in Goa and led by a Goan diaspora CEO/majority stakeholder.

  • Must employ at least 15 employees with minimum 60% of Goan origin.

  • Unit and partners/directors’ bank accounts must be linked with Aadhaar.

  • Udyog Aadhaar is required to claim benefits.

  • Unit must operate for at least 1 year and from the same office space for 1 year.

Copy of new unit registration document/certificate

Copies of PAN, Aadhaar and GST TIN

Memorandum and Articles of Association

Copy of first bill generated showing the date of commencement of operations or other relevant document

Occupancy certificate from developer/local authority for said office space

Details of employees and percentage of employees of Goan origin

Copy of lease deed/lease rental agreement for the built up office space

Proof of payment of rent for the said office space

Copy of Incorporation Certificate
