International Cooperation (IC) Scheme

The International Cooperation (IC) Scheme aims to prepare and support MSMEs to enter and expand in the global market. It facilitates participation in international exhibitions, trade fairs, conferences, seminars, and buyer-seller meets abroad. The scheme also provides actionable market intelligence, reimburses certain export-related costs, and helps MSMEs adopt international standards, enhancing their competitiveness in foreign markets. By enabling continuous learning and exposure, the scheme strengthens MSMEs’ global presence and supports their emergence as key export players.

Benefits

  • award-check Participation of MSME delegations in international exhibitions, trade fairs, and buyer seller meets in foreign countries.

  • award-check Space Rent (Stall Charges): Up to ₹3.00 lakh per MSME.

  • award-check Air Fare: Up to ₹1.50 lakh per MSME.

  • award-check Duty Allowance: USD 150 per day for Office Bearers.

  • award-check Freight Charges: Up to ₹50,000 per MSME unit (₹75,000 for Latin American countries).

  • award-check Advertisement and Publicity Charges: Up to ₹5.00 lakh.

  • award-check Up to ₹5,000 for event registration fees.

Eligibility

  • MDA (Sub-Component I): For MSME bodies, govt. orgs, and registered associations promoting MSMEs.

  • MDA Conditions: Registered entity, 3 years audited accounts, MSME focus.

  • MDA Events: Only ministry-approved; max 3 per year; MSMEs max 2 per year.

  • MDA Rules: Supplemental support; 3 years continuous + 2-year gap; MSMEs need ≥60% score.

  • Priority: SC/ST/Women/NER and first-time participants.

  • CBFTE (Sub-Component II): For Udyam-registered MSEs with IEC ≤3 years.

Required Documentation

Documents required at the time of submission of application on the IC scheme portal include

Copies of audited balance sheets, Profit & Loss accounts, or income and expenditure accounts for the last three years

Budget estimate

Copy of the registration certificate of the applicant organization

Copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association

How to Apply?

The applicant organization must submit an online application for financial assistance along with the relevant documents and a budget estimate of the proposed event expenditure in the prescribed proforma, giving full details of the expenditure. To apply under the scheme, the applicant organization needs to visit the official website/portal: https://ic.msme.gov.in/IC_APP/IC_Welcome.aspx.

On the home page, select “Market Development Assistance” to log in if already registered. If the applicant organization is a new user, click on “New User Register Here” to register under the scheme by selecting the type of organization.

After successful registration, the applicant organization can log in with valid credentials. Upon login, the user will be redirected to the Dashboard, where multiple actions need to be completed.
