The Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications focuses on building a digitally empowered state by integrating technology into governance, education, trade, and everyday life. Its key objectives include creating world-class IT infrastructure and connectivity to support e-Governance, promoting the IT and electronics industry in Goa, and strengthening capacity building and infrastructure development. The Department also works towards streamlining IT adoption across sectors, promoting e-Governance and e-Education, and positioning Goa as an “Intelligent State” by leveraging technology in trade, commerce, and infotainment.
